Lubka’s Pasta Art is the pseudonym under which I began realizing my unconventional initial idea, „What can be made from pasta?“, in 2019.

 

This idea was inspired by an article about renovating old Christmas ornaments and, of course, by the challenging paths of life that required me to fully engage my mind.

 

A variety of intriguing pasta shapes and my fully ignited imagination led me to my first designs and creations of pasta jewellery boxes, candle holders, and wall clocks.

 

„The appetite for creation grows as you create.“ The pasta, which seemed to magically transform under my hands into unseen beauty, practically demanded that the question „What can be made from pasta?“ quickly be replaced with „How will I make it?“ And that is one of the beauties of creating with pasta (or, as I like to call it, „Pastamagination“). There is simply no fixed method for the process.

 

It was a turning point for me, making me realize that with creativity, the unimaginable becomes a beautiful vision, and the unsolvable turns into a logical puzzle.

 

Building on this realization, breathtaking creations such as „Ark of the Covenant“ and „Pastaveller Globe“ came to life under my hands. Perhaps thanks to them, I gathered the courage to submit my pasta artworks for the first time to the international art competition Luxembourg Art Prize in 2022, where they received recognition.

 

Pasta systematically became not only my challenge but also an irreplaceable companion that has faithfully accompanied me on the winding and mountainous roads of life toward another milestone. Breathtaking creations such as „C'EST lA vie“ and „Fortune in Misfortune, or What Lies Hidden in Pandora’s Box“ became a reflection of how pasta started telling a story written by life itself. That was when I realized I had entered another phase—one that significantly elevated not only me but also my pasta art to yet another level.

 

Pasta is both a journey through life and an endless space where I can push the boundaries of my own creativity. It is simply mesmerizing to create something that fascinates even me as the artist, every single time. And these are the very reasons why Pastamagination has become my heart, soul, and mind—the embodiment of my knowledge and the vision of my path forward.
